Birth Doula Labor Support

 

In 2012 I was trained through DONA International. My passion is helping families find the strength and wisdom within themselves through their births.  I teach and guide partners prior to and during labor so that they can participate at their comfort level. This helps to make the birth experience a satisfying one for both parents. I have supported nearly 200 births in the last 10 years. I will unconditionally support any options that you wish to utilize.

Births are carefully planned with very limited births per month.  This allows me to give your family and your birth the attention that it deserves. If I am not available to support you I would be very happy to assist you with finding a doula that is available and has the specifications that you desire.

 

Doula support includes:

​

• Labor support from the time that you request it until about 1-2 hours after birth. 

• Photography beginning immediately after baby's arrival, or as possible during labor.  24 images will be delivered as prints and a minimum of 24 high resolution .JPEG images will be delivered on a  USB during the second postpartum visit.

• Two prenatal meetings lasting 1-2 hours each

• One postpartum visit lasting about 30-60 minutes. 

• A comparably trained and experienced back-up doula in the extremely unlikely event that I am not available to support your birth 

• Unlimited phone and email support from the time of hire until 3 months postpartum

• HypnoBirthing class series

*Prenatal meetings are customized and can include hypnosis, acupressure, reiki​, birth rehearsal, planning       sessions - anything that the family prefers to feel absolutely confident and prepared.
